Remember that event we promoted several months ago called Delight? Well, the one-day creative worship event happened last month and we are happy to finally share details and photos!
There was so much love and beauty planned into every detail of this event, and the photos by Kathy Beaver Photography and Anastasiia Photography tell such a great story of the day.

“It was such a JOY for us to host Delight at Engaged. Candace and the team were so easy to work with and it made every step of our event planning and execution a dream! The Engaged space itself is so breathtaking, and many women commented on the incredible space as they entered the venue. Because of its beauty this made decor such a breeze for us. We didn’t have to add much at all, just some florals and signage. We were able to set up the space to best meet the needs of our retreat and we loved being in close vicinity to restaurants and coffee shops when we had breaks throughout the day. Our experience at Engaged was a true joy and we look forward to hosting events there in the future!!”
– from April Knight, leader of Delight

Throughout the day several local artists taught workshops where the attendees got to express a bit of their own creativity! First up on the day was Ashton of Ashton Zager Fiber Art who led a weaving class. Packets included all different types and colors of materials plus a round loom and long needle. Although the time-frame didn’t allow for completed projects, everyone had a great time learning a new skill.

Second up was Springvine Design who taught guests how to do an asymmetrical flower arrangement! Everyone left with beautiful canning jar arrangements with cute little tags for our names! Helpful hints from Springvine: always cut stems at a sharp angle to increase water absorption, and make sure stems are the right height to touch the bottom of your vase!

The last creative workshop of the day was led by Delight leader April Knight, who owns Scripture Doodle! Her time focused on abstract watercolor with the addition of some acrylic paint and gold foil texture elements.

There were also pop-up vendors with items for sale during each of the event breaks! With hand-lettering from Engaged’s own calligrapherJoy Unscripted, clothes and accessories from local boutique Nest and essential oils from Danielle Hanna there was something for everyone! Also available was hats, shirts and sweatshirts from Delight itself (which are available for sale here)!

A local church pastor came to deliver a message, we sang along with a worship duo (hubby/wife team) and had time to just visit and enjoy fellowship with other ladies attending. Following the evening lesson taught by April, there was a creative response time where we were able to add scripture, a quote, or other lettering to our (now dry) paintings!

We loved hosting this unique event in our space! Those who attended had only positive things to say about the entire Delight crew and the schedule of events. It was a long day of worship, creativity and time spent with other like-hearted females!
